Hi Janine & Peter,
I remember the first time I contacted you & rather sheepishly asked if
'Cooking for Blokes' allowed women to attend. Ever since Peter's first warm
response reassuring me that I was not being silly and that
'Blokettes' were welcome to learn to cook too I felt like part of a privileged family that
knew the secrets of 'Cooking for Blokes'.
So I just wanted to say thanks very much; not only for all the knowledge -
ranging from the fundamental basics to advanced techniques - not just for
packing them with handy hints, Janine being endlessly patient with all our
questions and ensuring we understood; but for imparting all of that valuable
knowledge in a thoroughly enjoyable way (who could not enjoy the smell of
Janine's cooking and Peter's hospitality!).
Any bloke or blokette, that has an interest in cooking (irrespective of
their level of experience) should join the family & see
if they can learn the secrets of 'Cooking for Blokes'!
Having always enjoyed cooking for friends and loved ones it is now with
renewed enthusiasm and definitely more skill since
benefitting from some of
your experience. So from me & all of them - Thank you!

Hey there guys,
Just wanted to let you know that the Ice Cream recipe that I got is
fantastic. I tried it out on a few friends and they are
hooked.....also tried the Indian recipe (breast slices with the yoghurt dressing and rocket
lettuce etc) and they loved it. Thanks for the emails and hope to get down
there again sometime soon and do another one day course.
Anyway its got me into Indian cooking a bit and am currently hooked on
chicken tikka masala with thigh pieces. Trying to make my own tikka curry
from scratch at the moment.

I really enjoyed the 6-week course. It starts with the basics, and explains
stuff really simply so you know what to do, why you're doing it, and when to
do it. Janine is really friendly and approachable, but also very
knowledgeable, so whether you don't know how to boil an egg, or whether you
want some refinement to cooking skills you have already, she is always able
to answer your questions or advise on improvements. I cook basics regularly, but every lesson I picked up at least 3-4
good tips every lesson, and I've been able to use them at home. The best thing is when
you turn up on a Wednesday night, get shown something simple but really
delicious, then do it at home and it works! It's fun to have a glass of wine
with some guys (and girls), have a laugh, and cook something to eat. It's not too serious, but you do learn a lot in a
short time.

Janine and Peter,
Just wanted to thank you both for the Cooking for Blokes course. I really
enjoyed it and got a lot out of it. Now I just need to put my new found
skills to good use. It was a relaxed, comfortable, fun environment, and
from my point of view the pace and topics covered was about right.
In a few months time, I am keen to come back for some of your other cooking
classes.

I have had fantastic feedback this morning. Everyone really enjoyed it
(although several have admitted today they weren't expecting to and would
rather have gone out to dinner or to the pub when I initially advised what
we were doing). So I'm sure you will have some good advocates for your
business in the future. They thought you and Peter were great as well.
